    Heather Dillaway, Ph.D., Class of 1991

    Heather Dillaway graduated from Oxford in 1991.  While in college, she studied sociology as well as women’s studies and earned a Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 2002.  In addition to her work as a social science researcher and professor, Dr. Dillaway is an Associate Dean of Academic Programs at Wayne State University and a published author.


    Susan Melrath, Class of 1977

    Susan Melrath is a well-known artist from the Oxford area.  She graduated from Oxford Area High School in 1977 and then studied abroad in France and in Washington.  Ms. Melrath’s artwork has been featured in many galleries and businesses around the United States.  She has received grants and residencies, which have allowed her to further enhance her career as an artist.  She continues to give back to the community by teaching art classes in her studio and creating murals that enhance and beautify the streets of Oxford.


    James S. Pepple, Class of 1967

    After graduating from Oxford Area High School in 1967, James S. Pepple went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in bio-chemistry from Penn State University and then later earned a master’s degree in bio-chemistry from the University of Delaware.  Mr.  Pepple has continued to play an important role in the Oxford community as a coach in the Oxford Little League as well as through his work with Youth Soccer programs.  Additionally, James Pepple is the owner and president of Wyncote Golf course, and he is the owner and operator of Ox-View Farms.
