Ms. Jennifer Shelley
I am the teacher of the Academically Talented Program, Grades 4-6. I have been teaching in Oxford since 1992. I began my career in Nottingham as a learning support teacher. After several years, I had the opportunity to transfer to 4th grade and enjoyed that experience for 11 years. Looking for a new challenge, I began teaching and supporting the gifted population of Oxford. I have worked with gifted students in grades kindergarten through 6th. With the addition of Mrs. Melrath, I have been able to focus my support on the upper elementary grades.
I graduated from Slippery Rock University with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. I received my Masters and reading specialist certification at Lincoln University and have taken multiple courses in gifted education at Millersville University. I completed my Gifted Endorsement through Neumann University in the Spring of 2021.
I enjoy reading, and challenge myself to explore new genres and authors, just like I do my students! :-) I love being outdoors: hiking, walking, biking, etc. The beach and mountains are my favorite vacation spots, and I am a huge Steelers fan.
