Originally from Delaware County, I moved to Chester County in 2000. I taught fourth grade in Delaware for three years and was offered a fourth grade position at Nottingham Elementary in 2001. I moved with my class to fifth grade and remained a fifth grade teacher for the next seven years. While I was a teacher, I pursued my Master’s Degree in Reading from West Chester University. I loved being in the classroom, but I was developing a desire to work more in depth with students and their parents assisting them through their educational journey. I returned to Wilmington University and obtained a Master’s Degree in School Counseling with a K-12 School Counseling Certification in 2008. I began my career as a middle school counselor in the fall of 2008 and have enjoyed every minute working with the teachers, staff, parents and especially the middle school students. I am looking forward to another year here at Penn’s Grove and getting to know my new group of 7th graders.

Outside of school I am a mom of an eighth grader and eleventh grader. I love to travel, love the beach, but most of all love Walt Disney World. Spending time with my family is a priority to me.

I graduated from York College of PA with a Public Relations degree and worked in that field for three years before deciding to change my focus to counseling.  After I graduated from West Chester with my School Counseling degree, I worked in several schools and hospitals before settling in at Penn's Grove.  My role as a school counselor is to be an advocate for students' academic, social and emotional needs at school.  My door is always open and I love building relationships and connections with my students and their families. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and baking.  I live with my husband and two children in the Oxford area.  I also have a dog and cat who complete the family!
